Andrés García (born May 24, 1941 in La Vega, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican-born Mexican actor.
Born to Spanish parents, Garcia was born and lived in the Dominican Republic and moved to Mexico in his childhood. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, he became a sex symbol in Mexico and the rest of Latin America, participating in movies, Hispanic soap operas and photo-romance novels: (magazine features showing photos of actors who create a story—a popular phenomenon across Latin America during the 1970s).
In 1984, García participated in Tú o nadie, with Lucía Mendez and Salvador Pineda. Tú o nadie became a major hit, and helped García to receive many international offers. He accepted an offer to go to Puerto Rico in 1986, where he acted in WAPA-TV soap operas: Amame, with Johanna Rosaly, and Escándalo, with Iris Chacón and Charytín. Escándalo, however, also flopped and the number of episodes recorded for that soap opera was cut in half by the television channel.
García is known for his portrayals of tough men, what some call the "typical Mexican macho". In 1995, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and he travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, to seek treatment. He was declared cured of the cancer.
In 2001, García built a mansion that resembles a castle.
In September 2003, he made one of his several appearances on Cristina, the Spanish-language talk show hosted by Cristina Saralegui, to defend entertainers against paparazzi. García has participated in over fifty different projects, including film, theater, soap opera and photo-opera work.
García has also been involved romantically, and remains friends, with Mexican model: Carmen Campuzano, and Puerto Rican singer: Zeny, from the pop vocal duet, Zeny & Zory.
Later on in 2005, García participated in a reality show, named El Principe Azul, (Blue Prince), a show which was geared towards finding his other son, Leonardo, a woman "fitted" to marry him. García began to flirt with the young women on the show, however, going as far as having an on camera kiss with one of the contestants, making his son grow frustrated and, eventually, leave the show. Two previously unknown men were then cast to participate in the show and try to conquer one of the ladies involved in it. In 2006 he starred in the famous soap opera El Cuerpo del Deseo, with Mario Cimarro, Lorena Rojas, Sonia Noemí, and Erick Elías, among others, broadcasted by Telemundo International. The script of this telenovela, is about transmigration, the passing of a soul into another body after death, a closely related subject to, reincarnation, coinciding with García's beliefs on this subject.
Andrés Garcia got his "macho" image mostly from the Mexican' A+ movie Pedro Navaja (Peter the Knife) where he plays a street smart hustler where most of the beautiful women work for him on the street.

| Никто кроме тебя - больше я его нигде не видела. Но там он мне не понравился.Сверху деревянный, с одной эмоцией на лице( не кидайте в меня тапками). Смотрела из-за Лусии Мендос. Так потом ее никто и не смог переиграть.Вот держу у себя Никто кроме тебя , чтобы пересмотреть.Да , Марио не дает, все время отнимает.
После Марио ни на кого не хочется смотреть  
вот такое мое мнение.Моя подруга его обожает и мы мирно сосуществуем.Я обожаю ее, а она его.

| Я согласно, только с тем, что после Марио уже на Андреса смотреть не хочется. Однако, я его смотрела задолго до знакомства с Марио и тогда мне очень он нравился. Я помню какое было умопомешательство во время просмотра Никто кроме тебя. На работе, как только закрывалаись за мужчинами двери, женщины начинали обсуждать очередную серию. Любовный треугольник из Антонио, Макса и Ракель будоражил наше воображение. В кинотеатре Иллюзион показали подборку фильмов с участием Андреса Гарсия. Вы бы видели, какая колонна женщин, дружными рядами шла на 1-й фильм. Я не могла сдержать смех, оказавшись в этой толпе. Зал был наполнен до отказа. В проходах поставили табуретки, а на некоторые места были в ажиотаже проданы по 2 билета. Женщины сидели друг на друге и ругались, никто не хотел уступать места. Это продолжалось и в темноте, когда начался фильм. Минут 20 не было и намека на знакомый образ и вдруг какой-то второстепенный персонаж начал поворачиваться лицом к камере и из-под шляпы, закрывавшей всю верхнюю половину лица, показалась ослепительная, фирменная улыбка и с первого ряда пошла радостная волна узнавания: Антонио, Антонио, Антонио... и сразу же следом смущенный смех, смех над самими собой и этот смех захватил весь зал. Нас накрыла странная волна единения и понимания, что в этой глупости мы одинаковы и масса людей вдруг потеряла свою плотность: все задвигались, подобрели, ряды раздвинулись и всем стало хватать места. Это было удивительное чувство, которое я испытала всего раза 2 в жизни.
